settled

vancouver-run

Do I dare say I’m finally beginning to feel settled here in Vancouver? Work has been going extremely well. I was able to bring on a dear friend as a freelance copywriter for a website redesign. He’s insanely talented & has been an inspiration for years. So so excited to work with him!

Honestly, I was a little skeptical on how this week was going to pan out as I severely cut myself while washing dishes on Sunday. It was the first time (knocking on wood) I really hurt myself. I cried a ton & wished more than anything Greg or my mom were here to take care of me. You can stop laughing now. I know that sounds so ridiculous, but seriously sometimes you just need your loved ones around to help take care. Lucky for me, Greg’s lovely sister was nearby so she saw to it that everything was going to be okay.

Everything has been spiraling upward since. I’m beginning to search for apartments & have come across some beautiful spaces ( i’m currently subleasing a garden suite with a hefty price tag – can’t wait to get out of here). This article made me feel really good about the fact that I’m living out of two suitcases. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll be happy to have the rest of my stuff when Greg drives down in April, but I don’t miss it all that much.

This weekend I’m hoping to go for a few more runs, enjoy a night out and catch up on some personal work. Fingers crossed for a little sunshine. Again, the rain never stops here. I’m taking care of that by signing up for a gym membership on Monday.

Any plans for the weekend? Hope you have a wonderful weekend & a fun St. Patty’s Day!

xx

No laughing here. I totally understand how terrible it is to be hurt/sick when you’re alone. Glad you’re doing ok now!
